Following the release of Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version) back in 2021, as well as last year’s highly acclaimed studio album Midnights (2022), Taylor Swift has unveiled the re-recorded version of her 2010 album Speak Now, as she continues to reclaim ownership of her master recordings. The expanded edition of her third studio album features re-recorded versions of the LP’s original fourteen tracks including the multi-GRAMMY-winning single “Mean,” plus two of the original deluxe edition tracks and six "From the Vault" songs that were never released.
“I first made Speak Now, completely self-written, between the ages of 18 and 20,” Swift explains via Twitter. “The songs that came from this time in my life were marked by their brutal honesty, unfiltered diaristic confessions and wild wistfulness. I love this album because it tells a tale of growing up, flailing, flying and crashing…and living to speak about it.”
