Sophie Ellis-Bextor has unveiled her sparkling new single “Relentless Love,” her second official single commissioned by her new label Decca Records following the release of “Freedom of the Night” this past October. The song offers the latest preview of her forthcoming eighth studio album The Invisible Line, the follow-up to 2023’s HANA.
“It’s all about the thrill of love, like the rush you get from a fun fair ride,’ Ellis-Bextor says of the single in an official statement “Ferris wheels, roller coasters... all of them can make your perception of reality a little wonky and give you a rush. They are sometimes unpredictable but also an exciting way to shift your perspective for a little minute. Plus, it’s a great place for a date... hence the line ‘you know it’s sweet as caramel, sitting beside you on this carousel.’ There’s definitely a romance in getting on a ride together and seeing where it will take you.”
Ellis-Bextor’s UK and Ireland tour commences in Dublin May 21st and her EU tour kicks off September 22nd in Milan.
