Rosie Lowe has announced that her third solo studio album Lover, Other will surface August 16th courtesy of Blue Flowers and she has shared the project’s second single “In My Head.” The 15-track Lover, Other represents her first solo offering since 2021’s Now, You Know mixtape/EP and her first full-length solo album since the release of her modern masterpiece YU (2019). Written, produced and recorded by the multi-dimensionally talented Lowe herself with support from her handpicked crew of musical collaborators, the new album surfaces two-and-a-half years since Duval Timothy and she delivered their acclaimed collaborative project Son (2021).
The follow-up to the album’s sublime, sonically sparse lead single “Mood To Make Love,” “In My Head” is an instantly infectious slice of percussive, propulsive pop that slaps throughout its tightly-produced two-minute duration. “‘In My Head’ is a song about feeling the change in life and trying to learn to just surrender to it and not overthink,” Lowe explains in an official statement. “It's about digging deep to a place inside where I forge on anyway, despite my fears.”
