NEW MUSIC WE LOVE: Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Let’s Be Friends”

Carly Rae Jepsen’s most recent album Dedicated—one of our top 10 albums of 2019—still occupies heavy rotation at Albumism HQ, so we’re delighted to have received news of the pop powerhouse’s new single “Let’s Be Friends” in our inbox on this fine New Music Friday.

“’Let’s Be Friends’ is about the little lie we all share to soften the blow of a breakup,” Jepsen explains in an official statement. “This Valentine’s Day I’d prefer to just rip off the band aid. See you never!”
