Black Radio is a well-crafted, cohesive album, which is impressive given all of the artists involved. Glasper's album features a who's who in R&B and Soul (Erykah Badu, Bilal, Lalah Hathaway, Shafiq Husayn, Ledisi, KING, Chrisette Michelle, Meshell Ndegeocello, Musiq Soulchild, Stokley Williams), as well as a pair of great emcees (Lupe Fiasco, Yasiin Bey). Each of these artists has a distinct style, but Glasper manages to get them all to fit into his sound. None of the songs seem out of place and Glasper's musicianship shines just as much as the vocal performances.
