Many will recall New Zealander Kimbra’s balladic exchange with Gotye on the GRAMMY Award winning duet “Somebody I Used to Know,” but Kimbra has released three albums of her own synaptic-shattering pop since that pairing. But, the scope of her craft on her debut album Vows still stands tall within her growing discography. Gorgeously sung, cleverly written and expertly produced, Vows is an album suffused with Kimbra’s distinct identity which makes it an enthralling experience that lasts long after its final notes have faded.
