Richard Ashcroft has announced that his seventh studio album Lovin’ You will arrive October 10th. Preceded by the Joan Armatrading-sampling lead single “Lover,” the forthcoming LP represents the follow-up to 2021’s Acoustic Hymns Vol. 1 and The Verve co-founder’s first new material since 2018’s Natural Rebel.

“Prior to the whole COVID thing I was starting this record that was going to be what I termed futuristic more,” Ashcroft explains to WXPN. “And over the years it melded, and I thought, you know, I’m gonna make Lovin’ You very eclectic.”

Currently on tour with Oasis supporting his mates Noel and Liam Gallagher, Ashcroft will play a series of headlining shows in the UK this March and April.
