Following his impactful opening slot on Oasis’ recent global reunion tour, Richard Ashcroft has unveiled his seventh studio album Lovin’ You. Preceded by the Joan Armatrading-sampling lead single “Lover” and the titular “Lovin’ You” as official singles, the LP represents the follow-up to 2021’s Acoustic Hymns Vol. 1 and The Verve co-founder’s first new material since 2018’s Natural Rebel.

“Prior to the whole COVID thing I was starting this record that was going to be what I termed futuristic more,” Ashcroft explains to WXPN. “And over the years it melded, and I thought, you know, I’m gonna make Lovin’ You very eclectic.”

To support the album’s release, Ashcroft will reunite with his kindred musical spirits Noel and Liam Gallagher for a handful of Oasis’ South American tour dates next month, before playing a series of headlining shows in the UK this March and April.
