One of the most prolific bands of the past forty years, Cowboy Junkies have constructed an enduring musical legacy by crafting songs that examine the human condition in poignant and palpable ways. And as lead singles “What I Lost,” “Hard to Build. Easy to Break.” and “Shadows 2” indicate, the band’s new album Such Ferocious Beauty builds upon the band’s penchant for resonant, revelatory music.

“I love the power of these songs and the images they conjure,” Margo Timmins explains in an official statement." “To me, they reflect more upon life and nature and the impact they have on us. Within our own humanity, there is great heartache and misery, but also great joy and comfort. There is nothing more humbling to me than the ferocious beauty we live amongst, including life and death.”

The follow-up to 2022’s covers album Songs of the Recollection, Such Ferocious Beauty is accompanied by the band’s current North American tour that concludes October 5th in Peterborough, Ontario.
