WELCOME BACK WAX: The Verve’s 'Urban Hymns' Gets Expansive Deluxe Reissue

Later next month, we’ll commemorate the 20th anniversary of The Verve’s 1997 masterpiece Urban Hymns, their third studio album that spawned the unforgettable anthems “Lucky Man,” “The Drugs Don’t Work,” “Sonnet,” and of course, the ubiquitous “Bitter Sweet Symphony.”

Universal Music is kicking off the celebration a few weeks early by unveiling a jaw-droppingly expansive “super-deluxe” edition of the seminal LP in multiple formats this Friday, September 1st. The multi-disc/LP releases contain a veritable treasure trove of remastered original tracks, B-Sides, and never-before released live sessions. The CD bundle also includes an exclusive, jam-packed DVD. The full contents of the CD package are listed below (and the vinyl package details can be viewed here):
