With just over one month to go until the Spice Girls celebrate the 25th anniversary of Spiceworld (1997), the pop legends and UMC/Virgin Records have revealed plans for a multi-format reissue campaign for the group’s chart-topping second studio album, which followed their breakthrough debut album Spice (1996).
Featuring the album’s original ten tracks coupled with a generous helping of bonus tracks, B-sides, remixes and live recordings, expanded 25-song deluxe editions will be released in 2xLP, 2xCD, 2xCassette and digital formats on November 4th. Limited edition clear and picture disc vinyl versions of the standard LP will also be released, with the respective track listings of each format available here.
“The Spiceworld era was such a fun time for us,” the group shares in an official statement. “We’d just had a number one album with Spice, we were travelling all over the world and meeting our amazing fans, we released our second album AND we had our very own movie! Who would’ve thought it? It’s crazy to think that 25 years have passed.”
Crazy, indeed. Mark your calendars for November 4th, pre-order your copy here, and get ready to spice up your life once again!
