Widely considered one of the greatest duet albums of all time, Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood’s collaborative 1968 LP Nancy & Lee is set to receive a long overdue reissue courtesy of Light in the Attic. Slated for arrival May 20th across multiple formats including vinyl, CD, cassette, 8-track and digital, the newly remastered album contains two bonus tracks from the original recording sessions in the form of the duo’s covers of The Kinks’ 1965 single “Tired of Waiting for You” and Mickey & Sylvia’s 1956 single “Love Is Strange.”

The vinyl edition contains an expanded gatefold jacket featuring the original cover artwork by Ron Joy, a 20-page booklet featuring never-seen-before archival photos, and an exclusive Q&A with Sinatra, which is also available with the CD version.

“Rarely in music has there been such an unlikely collaboration: Nancy, the sassy and sweet songstress contrasted by Lee, the gruff, psychedelic cowboy,” the reissue’s co-producer Hunter Lea explains in the accompanying press release. “A harmonic partnership that defies conventional logic yet yields so much beauty.”

The track list for the Nancy & Lee reissue is:

01. You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling
02. Elusive Dreams
03. Greenwich Village Folk Song Salesman
04. Summer Wine
05. Storybook Children
06. Sundown, Sundown
07. Jackson
08. Some Velvet Morning
09. Sand
10. Lady Bird
11. I’ve Been Down So Long (It Looks Like Up to Me)
12. Tired Of Waiting for You (Bonus Track)
13. Love Is Strange (Bonus Track)

“The most fun was when there were two mics in the studio, and Lee was on one and I was on one,” Sinatra reflects in an official statement. “Lee has a following that continues to this day. He’s beloved; people love him all over the world.”

Mark May 20th in your calendars, clear room on your shelves, and revisit the original album below, including the bonus track “Love Is Strange.” Plus, check out Sinatra’s visit to Record Technology, Inc. (RTI) as she goes behind-the-scenes of the plant that pressed the reissue.
