NEW MUSIC WE LOVE: Phoebe Bridgers’ “Garden Song”

February 26, 2020 Albumism Staff

With her star still firmly in the ascendant, Phoebe Bridgers has unveiled her new single “Garden Song” and its accompanying smoke-filled video. The track represents the Los Angeles based singer-songwriter’s first solo recording since her 2017 debut album Stranger In The Alps, which we recently included in our list of the Best Albums of the 2010s, and follows recent collaborative projects with Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus (boygenius), Conor Oberst (Better Oblivion Community Center) and The National’s Matt Berninger (“Walking On A String” from his forthcoming debut solo album Serpentine Prison).

Although details surrounding her forthcoming second studio LP are scarce at this point, we do know that Bridgers has a whirlwind spring ahead of her, as she hits the road supporting The National and The 1975 on their respective tours.
