NEW MUSIC WE LOVE: Lucy Rose’s “Moirai” (Liz Lawrence Remix) & “Second Chance” (Fryars Remix)

June 9, 2018 Albumism Staff

Artist: Lucy Rose
Songs: “Moirai” (Liz Lawrence Remix) & “Second Chance” (Fryars Remix)
Album: Something’s Changing: The Remix Album (due in stores July 6th)

Early next month on July 6th, Lucy Rose is set to unveil a remix collection featuring reimagined versions of the sterling songs that comprise her wonderful third studio album (and Albumism’s #2 ranked album of 2017) Something’s Changing. “I’ve always loved hearing my songs interpreted by other musicians and I can't stop listening to the remixes on this record,” Rose confides in an official statement.

Following the previously shared Chartreuse reinterpretation of “Intro” and JAWS’ reimagining of “Soak It Up,” Rose has blessed our eager ears with another pair of remixes in the form of Liz Lawrence’s and Fryars’ takes on “Moirai” and “Second Chance,” respectively. Watch the accompanying video for the former, listen to the latter, and revisit the original compositions below. And in case you’ve missed it, check out our interview with Ms. Rose here.
