Nearly two years since Lucky Daye unveiled his acclaimed second studio album Candydrip (2022), the gifted singer-songwriter has returned with his new single “That’s You.” Featuring co-writing and co-production support by the Silk Sonic duo of Bruno Mars and D’Mile (who also produced Candydrip), the soulful ballad is accompanied by its sultry, Nick Walker-directed video filmed in Daye’s native New Orleans.

“I sang my heart out on ‘That’s You.’ I felt like I was on the moon,” Daye explains in an official statement. “I want people to think about that one person they just can’t be without when they listen. Hopefully, that person is a good person.”

While no formal news of his forthcoming third studio album has come to light yet, “That’s You” envisages another must-listen affair on the horizon for the GRAMMY-winning artist.
