Further solidifying his own musical legacy in the reinvigorated, post-Oasis phase of his career, Liam Gallagher has released his third solo studio album C’MON YOU KNOW. Largely comprised of propulsive, high-energy belters juxtaposed with a few relatively more subdued tracks (“Too Good For Giving Up,” “Moscow Rules,” “Oh Sweet Children”), the follow-up to 2019’s Why Me? Why Not. features contributions by Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl (“Everything’s Electric”), Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig (“Moscow Rules”), and Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Nick Zinner (“Better Days”). Gallagher also released his second live album Down By The River Thames in conjunction with C’MON YOU KNOW.
“All it’s about is: keep making music, stay alive, stay out of trouble… ish,” Gallagher confided to NME earlier this year. “And just fucking live a nice, happy life. I just want to do the gigs, keep making music, look cool, try and sort me napper out and not turn into a cunt. That’s all I ever wanted to do.”
