“’Night and Day’ for me is a song that sonically and lyrically walks the line between our reality and our subconscious,” singer-songwriter Lee DeWyze explains in a recent press release. “It’s an anthem of sorts for those who find themselves in need of an escape, because it’s in these moments we can learn the most about ourselves.”
DeWyze’s new single perfectly embodies its subject matter in thick ribbons of dreamy synths, hazy harmonies, and his signature finger-picked acoustic guitar that glimmers throughout the mix. It’s two minutes and twenty-eight seconds of gorgeous repose.
Currently on a spring tour that will wrap up in San Diego on May 25th, DeWyze plans to follow up 2018’s Paranoia with a new EP and a full-length album by year’s end.
