With much anticipation and the heavy weight of expectation owing to her multiple GRAMMY-winning 2018 LP Golden Hour, Kacey Musgraves has revealed the initial details behind her upcoming fourth studio album. Entitled star-crossed and scheduled to surface September 10th, the 15-track album is described in an official press release as “a modern-day tragedy in three acts” that “tells an extremely personal journey of heartache and healing,” an allusion to the recent dissolution of Musgraves’ marriage to fellow singer-songwriter Ruston Kelly.

The album arrives with an accompanying 50-minute short film slated to premiere via Paramount+ on September 10th and is preceded by the title track as its lead single. Watch the official lyric video and film trailer below.
