NEW MUSIC WE LOVE: Jessie Ware’s “Pearls”

February 9, 2023 Albumism Staff
Jessie Ware Pearls

Back in July, the one-and-only Jessie Ware blessed us with the first euphoric taste of her forthcoming fifth studio affair in the form of “Free Yourself.” And now the charismatic chanteuse has reemerged with “Pearls” to officially kick off the countdown to the arrival of That! Feels Good!, the follow-up to 2020’s widely acclaimed What’s Your Pleasure? due in stores April 28th.

“Written nearly a year ago with Stuart Price, Coffee Clarence Jr and Sarah Hudson, (“Pearls”) was a joy to write and it’s going to be a bugger to sing!,” Ware explains in an official statement. “I love the mood it puts my kids in, the instruction to dance, the pleasure of that moment when you let go. It’s all in there!”

Ware has also teased the prospect of an upcoming tour in support of That! Feels Good! with pre-sale access granted to fans who pre-order the album from her official website.

“When I think of the process behind making (the album), it’s not been the most conventional, lots of it was done behind screens and lockdowns with old writing friends, some with new friends in person,” Ware shares. “But I’m so so proud of it. I love it, I love how the record makes me feel (good!) and how I imagine performing it to you.”
