NEW MUSIC WE LOVE: Depeche Mode’s “Ghosts Again”

February 9, 2023 Albumism Staff
Depeche Mode Ghosts Again

Video Still: Anton Corbijn

Depeche Mode have shared “Ghosts Again” as the inaugural single from their forthcoming fifteenth studio album Memento Mori, the follow-up to 2017’s Spirit and the group’s first studio album to be released following the passing of co-founder Andy Fletcher this past May.

“We started work on this project early in the pandemic, and its themes were directly inspired by that time,” Martin Gore explains to Live Nation. “After Fletch's passing, we decided to continue as we're sure this is what he would have wanted, and that has really given the project an extra level of meaning.”

Memento Mori is slated to arrive March 24th and will be accompanied by a world tour that kicks off March 23rd in Sacramento, CA and concludes August 11th in Oslo, Norway.
