NEW MUSIC WE LOVE: Ingrid Andress’ “Good Person”

April 15, 2022 Albumism Staff

Two years on from the release of her multiple GRAMMY-nominated debut album Lady Like (2020), Ingrid Andress has returned with her new single “Good Person,” which she co-wrote with Steph Jones and Sam Ellis (and co-produced with Ellis).

A candid, confessional examination of conflicted emotions and aspirations, the song finds the Nashville-based singer-songwriter reflecting, “'Cause I've cheated and lied, and made people cry / But I pray for the ones that I love every night / And I've shattered some hearts and my thoughts get dark / But I'd stop for a stranger who's falling apart / I'm still learning / Good, good person.”

While we eagerly await official news of her forthcoming sophomore album, enjoy the Olivia Bee directed video for “Good Person” below.
