NEW MUSIC WE LOVE: Grand Blanc’s “Los Angeles”

June 15, 2018 Liz Itkowsky

Artist: Grand Blanc
Song: “Los Angeles”
Album: Images au mur (due in stores September 14th)

French rock group Grand Blanc have just released a video for their new single “Los Angeles.” It’s loud and fun, a formidable contender for your song of the summer. With Francoise Hardy-style breathy vocals and aggressive synth hits, “Los Angeles” encourages singing along, even for listeners lacking French fluency.

Grand Blanc are working with a sound reminiscent of Sleigh Bells or Phantogram—bands that marry dreamy female vocals with a blitz of electro-assault. Grand Blanc’s second album Images au mur will be released on September 14th via Enterprise Records. But until then, “Los Angeles” is the perfect amuse-bouche.
