Nearly seven years since Counting Crows released their most recent album, 2014’s Somewhere Under Wonderland, the acclaimed band has returned with new music in the form of “Elevator Boots.” The initial offering from the group’s forthcoming, 4-song project entitled Butter Miracle, Suite One due for release May 21st, the single finds frontman Adam Duritz delivering a nod to life on the road in evocative lines like, “Everybody wants to know you when you’re the only one to know / And man anything to feel alive and play one more show.”

“At a certain point, are we just a legacy act that should go play greatest shows or not?” Duritz contemplates, when prompted about the prospect of the band touring later this year during a recent Rolling Stone interview. “I mean, to me, I have no interest in it. We still annoy the shit out of people by not doing it. We went on our 25th-anniversary tour and played obscure shit!”

Watch the official lyric video for “Elevator Boots” below, as well as Duritz’s recent toast-making tutorial, and mark your calendars for Butter Miracle, Suite One’s arrival on May 21st.
