NEW MUSIC WE LOVE: Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Shy Boy”

Eight months on from releasing her acclaimed sixth studio album The Loneliest Time (2022) this past October, Carly Rae Jepsen has delivered a stunner of a new single in the form of “Shy Boy.” Produced by James Ford, the track arrives just in time for a string of summer tour dates that will find Jepsen visiting Japan, Canada and the U.S.

UPDATE 7/12/23: Carly Rae Jepsen has announced that her new album The Loveliest Time will arrive July 28th, to coincide with her upcoming summer tour dates. Comprised of twelve tracks including “Shy Boy,” The Loveliest Time serves as a companion album to The Loneliest Time and represents the third B-sides collection in her discography, in addition to E•MO•TION: Side B (2016) and Dedicated Side B (2020).
