Now this is what you call grown man R&B. Joe has a strong catalog that's hard to live up to, but that's what he did and then some on Doubleback. The album is a masterclass in R&B from start to finish. Joe's vocals are polished, showing no signs of wear from a long career. And his lyrics are honest and mature, making the songs resonate whether or not you relate to them.
