There are few albums as emotionally honest as Brother Ali’s All the Beauty In This World. With his sixth album, Brother Ali continued to show his growth as an artist and human being, dealing with issues as a parent, activist, and rapper. Ali demonstrates his ability to talk frankly about uncomfortable subjects, and educate his listeners. And if there was a more heartfelt song released in the ’10s than “Dear Black Son,” I didn’t hear it. And I doubt it exists.
