Sharon Van Etten has unveiled her seventh studio album and first LP recorded with her band The Attachment Theory. The band’s eponymous debut is preceded by three official singles in the form of “Afterlife,” “Southern Life (What It Must Be Like)” and “Trouble.”

“For the first time in my life I asked the band if we could just jam,” Van Etten explains in an official statement, referencing the genesis of the band recording the album together. “Words that have never come out of my mouth—ever! But I loved all the sounds we were getting. I was curious—what would happen? In an hour, we wrote two songs that ended up becoming ‘I Can’t Imagine’ and ‘Southern Life’.”
