Sarah McLachlan has unveiled her tenth studio album Better Broken, marking her first studio LP since 2016’s Wonderland and her first album of original material since 2014’s Shine On. Preceded by three official singles in the form of “Better Broken,” “Gravity” and “Reminds Me,” the album represents her first release for the Concord record label.

“A lot of the lyrics on this record came from thinking about the world right now and asking, ‘How do we move through this landscape? How do we keep our heads above water when it feels like so much is falling apart?’” McLachlan explains in an official statement. “I don’t know if I have any answers, but channeling all that angst and uncertainty into the music has been so cathartic. I hope that this record provides people with some relief and release—but in the end I just want them to take whatever they need from it, and make the songs part of their own story.”

To support Better Broken’s release and the recent 30th Anniversary of her acclaimed third studio album Fumbling Towards Ecstasy (1993), McLachlan will embark upon a fall Canadian tour that commences October 15th in Victoria, BC and concludes November 9th in Peterborough, ON.
