Little Big Town
It’s A Dying Art
MCA Nashville
Released 08/28/26
Little Big Town have unveiled their twelfth studio album It’s A Dying Art, which follows 2024’s The Christmas Record and 2022’s Mr. Sun. Co-produced by Gena Johnson (Kathleen Edwards, Shelby Lynne, Ashley Monroe) and the band’s Karen Fairchild, the album features guest contributions by Monroe, Kelsea Ballerini and Jason Isbell.
“It dissects some difficult moments in relationships,” Fairchild says of the album in a recent American Songwriter interview. “And then it also gives a lot of hope and, hopefully, joy for the things that matter the most. That kind of ebbs and flows through the record. “Dying Art” is a song about love that can endure when you stick it out. But it’s also a theme that pours through the record about holding on to making art, holding on to what we can do with our voices and instruments and what we can do in a room. And in this age of artificial intelligence, you still can’t replace the humanity that happens when harmonies are sung imperfectly.”
To support It’s A Dying Art’s arrival, the group will embark upon an extended North American tour that kicks off September 2nd at Nashville’s iconic Grand Ole Opry House and concludes December 10th back in Music City at the legendary Ryman Auditorium.
