We are thrilled to share the exciting news that Giulia Bianchi has joined the Albumism family! Giulia’s unyielding love for music and refreshing journalistic voice are such welcome additions to our ever-growing team of scribes.
“Joining Albumism is such a terrific opportunity to write for one of my favorite websites and connect with a community and team of music aficionados,” Giulia explains. “It is always nice to have the chance to get in touch with music lovers, and Albumism is the best place to merge my passions for music, vinyl records, and music journalism.”
We encourage the Albumism community to stay tuned for much more from Giulia, and in the meantime, check out her recently published debut Albumism article, a thoughtful 5th Anniversary tribute to Solange’s A Seat At The Table (2016).
More about Giulia:
Originally from Milan, Giulia Bianchi is a fresh graduate from Utrecht University. Ever since she was a child, Giulia has always been massively passionate about music. Growing up, she has developed a keen enthusiasm for vinyl records and a fondness for her trip to the local Wrecka Stow.
During her academic years, Giulia always sought involvement in the music industry. From the beginning of her bachelor’s until the end of her master’s, she worked as a radio host intern, a booking agent, and marketing strategist at a Dutch record label.
Furthermore, Giulia’s eagerness for music writing motivated her to launch her music website funknroll.online, through which she can express her appreciation for and interest in music.
Giulia’s music tastes cross different genres, from Prince (her all-time favorite artist) to Janet Jackson, Parliament-Funkadelic, Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis, Michael Jackson, George Michael, Public Enemy, Selena Quintanilla, Chaka Khan, Santana, Stevie Wonder, and Sade. She has too many favorite artists whose music she cannot live without.
