NEW MUSIC WE LOVE: Say She She’s “Blow My Mind”

March 22, 2022 Patrick Corcoran

Hot on the heels of first single “Forget Me Not,” the New York City based trio Say She She are back with another delectable slice of elegant funk in the shape of new single “Blow My Mind” released today via Colemine Records. Boasting a bassline Isaac Hayes would love and an orchestral approach to funk grooves that he would recognize as bearing his musical DNA, it gives us another chance to revel in the trio’s delicious harmonies.

A tale of reigniting the fire of a past relationship, it finds the trio of singers treading a line between youthful, lust-filled yearning and the burning desire to be independent. Their cries climax in perfect unison and harmony, and in doing so, further raise expectations for their debut album. Their forthcoming full-length affair entitled Prism will be released this September, so add it to your list of must-hear albums for the coming months.
