NEW MUSIC WE LOVE: Rosie Lowe’s “Pharoah”

April 2, 2019 Albumism Staff

Artist: Rosie Lowe
Song: “Pharoah”
Album: YU (Due in stores May 10th)

Three years ago, Rosie Lowe crafted a magnificent, modern-day anthem of female empowerment in “Woman,” one of the many standouts featured on her debut album Control (2016). And now she has returned with the equally inspired soul-funk groove of the Dave Okumu produced “Pharoah,” the second single lifted from her forthcoming second album YU, in which she proclaims, “I have power in my arms, power in my legs / power in my mouth, power in my imperfections that make me / a power in my knowledge, power in the magic I do.”

Watch the provocative video below and mark May 10th in your calendars for YU’s much-anticipated arrival.
