A handful of weeks removed from blessing our souls with her surprise mixtape/EP Now, You Know, Rosie Lowe has delivered another dose of unexpectedly wonderful news by announcing Son, her forthcoming collaborative album with her kindred musical spirit Duval Timothy.

We first learned of the pair’s mutual admiration back in 2017 when the multi-media artist and pianist joined Lowe for her Worldwide FM broadcast, and now we’re looking forward to hearing the fruits of their burgeoning creative partnership in full bloom with the November 12th arrival of Son courtesy of Timothy’s Carrying Colour imprint. Slated to include a limited-edition green vinyl version, the new album follows Timothy’s latest effort Help, released in August 2000.

“We were interested in bringing our surroundings into the recordings,” Lowe and Timothy explain in an official statement. “Leaving doors open, recording in different spaces and locations, inviting the listener to experience the life that was going on around us whilst capturing the process.”

Listen to the sparse yet stunning title track below and be sure to mark November 12th in your calendars.
