With the forthcoming arrival of Morcheeba’s tenth studio album Blackest Blue quickly approaching on May 14th, the UK duo have shared the haunting video for the project’s third single “The Moon,” which follows the previously unveiled offerings “Sounds of Blue” and “Oh Oh Yeah.”

Originally written and recorded by the Croatian singer-songwriter Irena Žilić as the opening track of her second album Haze (2017), the song made an unforgettable first impression on the group’s Skye Edwards, who added a new verse to the original composition upon securing Žilić’s approval to cover it. “It’s about following the light of the moon and tapping into its powerful luminous energy, harnessing its positivity to escape the depression and darkness,” Edwards explains in an official statement.
