Three years on from the arrival of her critically lauded fifth studio album Be The Cowboy, the enigmatic Mitski has returned with new music in the form of the dirge-like single “Working For The Knife.” She has also revealed plans for an ambitious three-months-long North American and European tour that kicks off February 17th in Asheville, NC and concludes May 19th in Munich.

“It’s about going from being a kid with a dream, to a grown up with a job, and feeling that somewhere along the way you got left behind,” Mitski says of the lead offering from her forthcoming sixth studio LP. “It’s being confronted with a world that doesn’t seem to recognize your humanity, and seeing no way out of it.”

Watch the video for “Working For The Knife” below and stay tuned for more details about her new album as they emerge.
