Song: “Blue Vapor”
Album: For My Crimes (due in stores September 28th) | Pre-Order

Though the definition of “prolific” is always open to interpretation, we’d say that a résumé comprised of eight albums recorded and released in the span of fourteen years most definitely fits the bill. Such is the workhorse pace at which Marissa Nadler has cultivated her sterling discography to date, and her forthcoming eighth album For My Crimes (in stores September 28th) is destined to reaffirm her penchant for quality, not just quantity.

Bolstered by its Thomas McMahan directed visuals, Nadler’s haunting new single “Blue Vapor” offers us plenty of reason to believe that she’s once again stepping up her songwriting game. “McMahan beautifully articulates the intangible sense of depersonalization depicted in the song,” Nadler says of the video. “He makes some heads explode and incinerates everything in sight. He does so beautifully and seamlessly and leaves ‘Blue Vapor’ a gorgeous monochromatic world to exist in.” Watch the video in full below and mark your calendars for Nadler’s upcoming tour which kicks off October 4th in North Adams, MA.
