With Kylie Minogue’s Tension still commanding heavy rotation here at Albumism HQ one year on from its September 2023 release, we’re pinching ourselves with the realization that a brand new long player from the Princess of Pop is on the near horizon.

Due to arrive in stores October 18th, Minogue’s seventeenth studio album Tension II is a 13-track affair that features nine new songs—including the just-unveiled official lead single “Lights Camera Action”—and her four recent collaborative efforts with Sia (“Dance Alone”), Orville Peck and Diplo (“Midnight Ride”), Bebe Rexha and Tove Lo (“My Oh My”), and The Blessed Madonna (“Edge of Saturday Night”).

“The Tension era has been so special to me,” Minogue confides in an official statement. “I can’t possibly let it be over just yet! Welcome to Tension II.”

Early next year, Minogue will embark upon the global Tension Tour, which commences February 15th in Perth and includes a series of dates across her native Australia, Asia, the UK, Europe, North America and South America.

“I am beyond excited to announce the TENSION TOUR 2025,” she shares. “I can’t wait to share beautiful and wild moments with fans all over the world, celebrating the Tension era and more! It’s been an exhilarating ride so far and now, get ready for your close up because I will be calling Lights, Camera, Action and there will be a whole lot of Padaming!”

Watch the official video for “Lights Camera Action” below and be sure to mark October 18th in your calendar for the arrival of Tension II.
