NEW MUSIC WE LOVE: Faithless’ “Synthesizer” Featuring Nathan Ball

A long ten years have elapsed since the revered UK dance music pioneers Faithless released their sixth and most recent studio album, 2010’s The Dance. And while most signs since then have pointed to an indefinite—if not permanent—hiatus for the legendary group, the emergence of new music over the past few months has augured their very welcome return, which is now officially corroborated by the announcement of their forthcoming seventh studio affair All Blessed, due to make landfall October 23rd.

It truly is a blessing to welcome them back. And if their propulsive, just-released single “Synthesizer” offers any indication, it’s a safe bet that their new batch of tunes will reflect the sterling, inspired form that has become their signature since they first surfaced in the mid-1990s on the strength of their generation-defining dancefloor classics “Insomnia” and “Salva Mea” from their 1996 debut LP Reverence.

“In this troubled and increasingly violent world, lyrically this album reflects what has always been our manifesto: be conscious, be caring & love yourself,” the group explains via their Twitter feed.
