NEW MUSIC WE LOVE: Elbow’s “Empires”

August 25, 2019 Albumism Staff

Momentum behind Elbow’s forthcoming eighth studio album Giants Of All Sizes—slated for arrival October 11th—is picking up steam as the band has unveiled the second preview of the album in the form of “Empires.” A somber reflection on death and disenchantment, the official lead single and follow-up to the recently released “Dexter & Sinister” finds frontman Guy Garvey and his bandmates giving voice to the disillusionment that now reigns supreme in the era of Brexit and Trump fueled madness.

UPDATE 9/3/19: Watch the just-unveiled video for “Empires” below.
