With Cleo Sol’s pair of 2023 albums Heaven and Gold still commanding frequent plays here at Albumism HQ one year after their release, we’re thrilled to discover that she has shared an inspired new composition in the form of “Fear When You Fly.” Produced by her musical and life partner Inflo, the song offers another glowing testament to the unequivocal power of her gospel-imbued brand of soul.
“Music is a gift,” Zane Lowe explains in the introduction to his recent Apple Music interview with the reclusive SAULT songstress, who typically steers clear of the press spotlight. “But few artists share with such a universal generosity as Cleo Sol. It’s timeless, music from and for the soul.”
“I'm always making new music,” Cleo Sol shares. “To put it out, that's another story—this stuff I do want to put out, so [I'm] in the process of building it.”
