NEW MUSIC WE LOVE: Alanis Morissette’s “Smiling”

February 21, 2020 Albumism Staff

Later this year, we’ll celebrate the 25-year milestone of Alanis Morissette’s breakthrough third studio album Jagged Little Pill (1995). But before we get ahead of ourselves, Ms. Morissette has a new album—her first in nearly eight years—on the horizon, in the form of Such Pretty Forks In The Road, due to make landfall on May 1st.

Yesterday, she revealed the spectacular cover artwork and today, she shares the project’s second single “Smiling,” which follows the previously released “Reasons I Drink.” And if this wasn’t enough to whet our appetites for the forthcoming full-length, she has also confirmed new UK and EU dates for her upcoming Jagged Little Pill anniversary tour, with support from Liz Phair.
