Miles Davis is one of the most respected and venerated figures in jazz history. Getting his performance feet wet by performing with Charlie Parker, he would go on to perform with many other jazz superstars before becoming one in his own right. His style traversed many genres, from bebop to hard bop to orchestral to electric. He was a musical wizard who blended musical elements to create intoxicating auditory cocktails. The Complete Live at the Plugged Nickel 1965 is a great example of his instrumental prowess.

Released in 1995 on Legacy Records, this hard-to-find box set gem showcases the Miles Davis Quintet at their visionary best. "So What," "Autumn Leaves" and "Round Midnight" are just a few of Davis' trademark interpretations included in this treasure. These eight discs are "historic" recordings and a must-have for anyone who appreciates Davis' cool, straight-ahead style.
