Back in 2017, Slowdive returned after an extended 22-year hiatus with their critically acclaimed eponymous fourth studio album Slowdive. And fortunately for the band’s legion of loyal devotees, the wait for their follow-up hasn’t been nearly as long, as everything is alive is in stores now. Preceded by singles “kisses,” “skin in the game” and “the slab,” the album will be supported with a North American tour that commences September 23rd in Toronto.
"As a band, when we're all happy with it, that tends to be the stronger material,” Neil Halstead says in an official statement. “We've always come from slightly different directions, and the best bits are where we all meet in the middle."
“Slowdive is very much the sum of its parts,” Rachel Goswell adds. “Something unquantifiable happens when the five of us come together in a room.”
