RAYE has unveiled her second studio album This Music May Contain Hope., which follows her BRIT Award-winning debut LP My 21st Century Blues (2023). Preceded by a trio of official singles in the form of “Where Is My Husband!,” “Nightingale Lane” and “Click Clack Symphony,” the London-bred singer-songwriter’s new album features an extensive crew of collaborators including Al Green, Hans Zimmer and the London Symphony Orchestra.
“Music is medicine, I’ve always said that,” RAYE declares in an official statement. “I guess I’m in the process of making medicine for myself that I can share with the world. I want us all to say to ourselves that it’s going to be all right, and I’m going to have faith in the seeds that I’ve planted beneath the snow. I wanted to create something that is a hug, bed or soft place for that person who needs it.”
In support of the new album, RAYE kicks off her North American tour this week on March 31st in Sacramento. After the final US show on May 13th in Los Angeles, RAYE returns home to the UK for a trio of shows—two in London and one in Brighton—before joining Bruno Mars on his summer/fall North American tour.
