Pulp have unveiled their eighth studio album entitled More, their first LP to surface in nearly 24 years since We Love Life was released in October 2001. Produced by James Ford (Blur, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys), More is preceded by the official singles “Spike Island” and “Got To Have It.” The album is their first since 1987’s Freaks without longtime bassist Steve Mackey, who passed away in 2023.
“We hope you enjoy the music,” frontman Jarvis Cocker states in an official statement. “It was written & performed by four human beings from the North of England, aided & abetted by five other human beings from various locations in the British Isles. No A.I. was involved during the process. This album is dedicated to Steve Mackey. This is the best that we can do. Thanks for listening.”
To support More’s arrival, the band will embark upon a UK tour that commences tomorrow, June 7th in Glasgow and concludes June 21st in Manchester. pulp then travels to the us for a series of performances beginning with their September 4th date in Atlanta through their back-to-back dates at Los Angeles’ famed Hollywood Bowl on September 25th and 26th.
