Let All That We Imagine Be The Light
BMG
Released 05/30/25
Garbage have unveiled their eighth studio album Let All That We Imagine Be The Light, which follows 2021’s No Gods No Masters. Preceded by official singles “There’s No Future In Optimism” and “Get Out My Face AKA Bad Kitty,” the album was co-produced by the band and Shirley Manson’s husband Billy Bush.
“The title of the album, Let All That We Imagine Be The Light, is the perfect descriptor for this new record as a whole,” the band explains in an official statement. “When things feel dark it feels imperative to seek out forces that are light, positive and beautiful in the world. It almost feels like a matter of life and death. A strategy for survival.”
“When you’re able to give voice to your own fears and vulnerability, that is actually strength,” Manson continues. “It helps to ignite your survival skills, your desire for joy, and your desire for life and adventure. We’re all freaked out, we all have to be vigilant, every human being is hurtling towards the same fate in the end. And our challenge is how to live a really joyful existence as best as possible in the circumstances we find ourselves. We’re here and we must move forward. Trying to mend that which has been broken.”
The band plan to support the album’s release by hitting the road for an extensive 32-date North American tour that commences September 3rd in Orlando and concludes November 2nd in Phoenix.
