Laura Marling has unveiled her eighth studio album Patterns In Repeat, the follow-up to 2020’s Song For Our Daughter. Co-produced by Marling and Dom Monks, the album is preceded by three official singles in the form of “Patterns,” “No One's Gonna Love You Like I Can” and “Child Of Mine.”

“I hope if nothing else this album serves to represent the possibility that the pram in the hallway is not, as it turns out, the enemy of art,” Marling confides in an official statement, referencing the creative inspiration she discovered upon giving birth to her daughter in 2023. '‘That’s the hope, anyway.”

“It’s the huge sense that you would do anything to protect them,” Marling adds. And the feeling that I want to do all the cliched things—I want to live in the country, I want to get some pigs, and homeschool her. I do want to do music, but I definitely, absolutely don’t want to go on tour again. I just didn’t realise I had this incredible, massive gift for care.”
