Kathleen Edwards has unveiled her sixth studio album Billionaire, her first LP in five years since the release of 2020’s Total Freedom. Co-produced by Jason Isbell and Gena Johnson, the album is preceded by official singles “Save Your Soul,” “Say Goodbye, Tell No One,” “Pine,” “hen The Truth Comes Out,” and “Little Red Ranger.”

“I do think we should all aspire to be billionaires in life, in the way that we have fulfilling lives, that we have purpose, that we feel like whatever life has to throw at us, we’re going to we’re going to try,” Edwards explains to Toronto-based NEXT Magazine. “Because life can fucking suck. And I’ve come through very difficult chapters in my life to find that. I don’t need to apologise for wanting to have a happy and fulfilling life, and that makes me a billionaire in my character, I think. I’m not talking about financial prosperity. I’m talking about meaning and relationships and purpose, and you know, to have something that drives us, makes us incredibly lucky as our billionaires.”

To support the arrival of Billionaire, Edwards has embarked upon a North American tour that concludes November 8th in Ottawa.
