Five years on from the release of her acclaimed third studio album Quiet Signs (2019), Jessica Pratt has unveiled Here in the Pitch courtesy of the Mexican Summer imprint. Her fourth studio affair is preceded by the enveloping official singles “Life Is,” “World on a String” and “The Last Year.”

“I became obsessed with figures emblematic of the dark side of the Californian dream while making this record,” Pratt explains in an official statement about the inspiration behind the album, which was recorded at Gary’s Electric Studio in Brooklyn over the course of three years. “I never wanted it to take this long. I’m just a real perfectionist. I was just trying to get the right feeling, and it takes a long time to do that.”

To support Here in the Pitch’s release, Pratt will perform a series of spring and summer dates across Europe, the UK and the US, her tour commencing May 30th at Barcelona’s Primavera Sound festival and concluding September 21st in Accord, NY.
