Three years since Caroline Polachek released her third studio album Pang in late 2019 and following her supporting stint on the North American leg of Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia tour last year, the singer-songwriter has returned with her follow-up LP Desire, I Want To Turn Into You. Preceded by five official singles (“Bunny Is A Rider,” “Billions,” “Sunset,” “Welcome To My Island,” and “Blood and Butter,”) Desire also features a notable collaboration with Dido and Grimes in the form of standout track “Fly To You.”

“Growing up listening to artists like Fiona Apple, Kate Bush and Björk and seeing these women who claimed a lot of attention, seemingly without compromise, felt so aspirational to me,” Polachek explains to The Guardian. “Growing this project is a cool adventure: how can I do it in a way that feels like I still have all of my creative sovereignty and also my privacy?”
