WELCOME BACK WAX: Sade’s Six Studio Albums Resurface on Vinyl in ‘This Far’ Box Set

Although the holidays are still a few months away, the legendary UK group Sade have blessed us with an early (and exciting) gift in the form of This Far, a streamlined box set that features all six of their sublime studio albums to date. Sade fans old and new will surely revel in rediscovering the musical magic contained within remastered vinyl versions of Diamond Life (1984), Promise (1985), Stronger Than Pride (1988), Love Deluxe (1992), Lovers Rock (2000) and Soldier Of Love (2010). We suspect that revisiting these gems may even compel some of our readers to reevaluate their all-time favorite Sade album, as captured in our previous readers’ poll.

Considering that more than ten years have elapsed since Ms. Adu & crew’s most recent studio affair, this thoughtfully constructed package—due to arrive October 9th—should immediately remind all of us that Sade have always placed a high premium on quality over quantity, and we, as listeners, remain grateful for their steadfast dedication to their craft.

Pre-order This Far here and while you wait for it to arrive, check out our 30-track Essential Sade audio & video playlists below.
